For more than 11 years, Tracey Pearson (née Smith) has been the heart of the Inn at Houghton Creek. Beginning as a housekeeper in August 2015, Tracey discovered her passion for hospitality. Before long, her work ethic and dedication to the Inn saw her advance to serve as our Project Manager and Assistant Innkeeper before accepting her current role in 2024.
As she steps into her third year as Innkeeper, Tracey is excited to continue developing meaningful relationships with guests, employees, and all who visit the Houghton area.
“My goal is for guests to know they have a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment to always come back to, and for employees to know they are supported, valued, and encouraged to take initiative.”
Long time guests will be excited to hear that Tracey recently married the love of her life, Dave. As the Inn’s trusted handyman, Dave helps maintain the property, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Together they share a deep commitment to the Inn and take great pride in creating a warm atmosphere for guests and their three kids, Katie, Maverick and Lydia.
In their free time, Tracey and Dave enjoy spending time with friends and family, birdwatching, and supporting the Yankees.
